I wouldn't charge for features either. - Tolu Adesina @iamthatolu.

So many people know you from your days at mtn project fame, but for the sake of those who don't, tell us about yourself

My name is tolu Abraham Adesina was born and raised in kaduna my parents are from oyo state. I've been singing since I was 11
Prior to project fame I've been to 6 different competitions that I did make the cut. But project fame was my launch pad I came in 5th place.

5th you said? How were you able to pull that off? Coming 5 and now the rave ofthe moment. How do you feel?

I feel immensely grateful I was the underdog the one pushed aside but im so happy to see the new reception to my craft.
And I owe it to my record deal and most of Don jazzy who helped make the difference

Before this track you did with the mavin boss (my lover), how many tracks have you done after the project fame competition

Arewa, whyne it, never, shakara, gets me up, missing you, all around the world
7 tracks in total

And none of those seven have received massive airplay like My Lover?

Nope they were all drowned cuz I couldn't push em properly

Talking about publicity, do you think its right for TV and radio stations to request for money from upcoming artistes before airing a track?

Hmm...thats a tough one, well things are done a certain way but there should be room for supporting untapped talent..
My record label headed by mr. Shawn and Don jazzy gave me chance
I hope to maximize it

OK can you say you are just among the lucky few who get heard?

I would definitely say that.

away from music a bit, how was growing up like? did your parents support your music career?

My parents knew at a young age that I wasin love with music it grew worse when I became a young adult almost distracting my studies
So my parents raised a red flag
But I managed to finish my school and pursue my dreams
Now they support my dreams 100%.

so, which schools did you attend?

Saint Anne's nursery and primary school, Wilson Colledge, Christ ambassadors college, first Baptist high school then kaduna state poly

GAME SESSION- Memory Lane

You will mention some names from your growing up then we will mention a name we hope you should remember.
..
My mum and dad mr. And mrs. Adesina, George maji Barnabas Arastus

okay, so mention some friends that you will like to appreciate. and people you sang together with during school days

Paul, Amos, Jessy, Steve, john we sang in a crew called fg6

Praise Emmanuel, does that name ring a bell?

Oh yes, we sang together on many platforms.

Nice of you to remember, that brings us to this next question.
Do you think its music or popularity that makes celebs forget those whom they have at one time worked together?

Na an artist is a pressured person constantly so sometimes its not u forget ur priorities are shifted... No, its not that.
You forget... Your priorities kinda shift and ure soo distracted, the pressure is much, trust me.

What inspires you?

Everything, love people around me, pain and life itself.

Talking about love and people around you. Are you single or ready to mingle?

I'm in a serious relationship with my #prettyones *smiles

Whats your Advice to other upcoming artistes

Never give up. if this is what u really want stubbornly fight for it

Finally, ice prince has said he doesn't charge for features. What's your opinion about this trend of celebs asking upcoming artistes to pay before they can feature them?

Like I said there's should be room for supporting upcoming artist I wouldn't charge either...

How to handle long distance relationships (LDRs)

How to Handle Long Distance Love Affairs

Long distance relationships (LDR) aren't easy, but sometimes they become necessities when those involved really want to stay together and distance is a factor.

Step1
Weigh the costs and benefits of distance. The longer you have been together before the long distance relationship, the more likely it is you will have some rapport to get you through the tough stuff. If you have just started dating or meet over the internet, etc. Things may be much harder.

2
The more you communicate, the more relation gets strong. Decide how you will communicate and how often. Phone bills can be excessive for LDRs, so consider using IM, email and Skype to stay in touch. Establish firm plans for times to talk which are priorities in your schedule (just like dates). Old fashioned letters can be very romantic, as can care packages. Make sure that you call as often as your partner calls etc. No one likes feeling like they are working harder than their partner, especially when an LRD is already a lot of work.

3
Establish rules for the relationship. Just like any relationship, you will need to decide what the rules are and agree on them. Some relationships define cheating differently. Some people prioritize physical contact and will need to have an open relationship. Decide together mutually what rules will be best for you both.

4
Establish times to visit, and ideally a plan to be together in the near future, if this is what you want. Either way, be clear about your desires, needs or confusions. NEVER string someone along or cheat just because distance makes this easier or tempting.
Your partner won't be able to tell how you are feeling as easily, so you will need to tell them and communicate openly and frequently.

5
The golden rule, expect less. The less you expect, the less will be the problems. But keep expecting love or that'll no longer be a "relationship"

6
Arguments usually end up with a fight. So either avoid or stop in the middle of the argument or the best thing, let your partner win. This will in turn strengthen your relationship.

7
And Best of luck

warnings*.
If you do decide to open your relationship (ie. Have an open relationship where the other partner is allowed to see someone else), never start dating a new person without first talking to your partner; do not ask permission AFTER you start something- this is cheating in nearly everyone's book.

2 Helpful?

.NEVER be sarcastic or passive aggressive etc in an email, IM or text, etc. This is confusing and will lead to misunderstandings.

8 Helpful?

Things You'll need:
1. a heart full of love.
2. A good companion who understands you

Jilted OAU student commits suicide

Jilted OAU Student Commits Suicide

A 400-level Law student of Obafemi
Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife, Ige Dipo, has committed suicide at his residence outside the campus of the university few days after his lover broke up with him. It was authoritatively gathered that Dipo, said to be above average academically by his colleagues, was found dead in his apartment at Asherifa area, a stone’s throw from the campus, on Monday.

Dipo’s suicide note left for his father reads in part: “Father, while reading this message, I would have been gone” before he allegedly ingested some substance later discovered to be poison.
The deceased, a member of the Christ Apostolic Church Fellowship on campus before his death was said to have met the lady last year. It was gathered that Dipo’s lover had been financing his education for over eight months of their relationship before calling it quits with him.

The lady, also a member of the same fellowship, was said to have broken up with Dipo because of his poor background and she could no longer cope with him. This development, according to a source, was said to have subjected Dipo to emotional trauma.

He was said to have threatened that he would commit suicide should his lover remain adamant on her decision before he finally took his life.

Meanwhile, Dipo’s untimely death has been described as mystery by his fellow students, who urged the police to conduct thorough investigations to unravel the circumstances surrounding his mysterious death.

While the news of his death filtered into the campus some students who knew Dipo expressed shock over the sudden death. Describing the late student as a person who lived a lonely life, some students, who spoke with our correspondent on OAU campus, said his studious life should be emulated by fellow students.

Our correspondent further gathered that his lifeless body had been taken to Ibadan, his home town by his family members.
